About the template

A complete remittance app front end, ready to rebrand.

Arro is a fully working Android app for sending money abroad. It runs without a server: a simulated backend inside the app prices transfers from live mid-market rates, moves them through realistic stages, runs refunds and identity checks, and saves everything on the phone.

You get an established interface and an extensive set of remittance screens, interactions and user-facing features. One class, ArroBackend, sits between the screens and that simulated logic, so you can replace it with calls to your own servers without rewriting the UI.

In the template

  • Every screen, flow and state of the app
  • A simulated backend, so every button works
  • Home screen widgets, light and dark themes
  • Source code, documentation and a demo APK

You add for a live service

  • Your backend, database and authentication
  • Payment, identity-check and payout providers
  • A production exchange-rate service
  • The licences your country requires

Arro is a UI template. It does not process real payments or move real money, and it is not banking infrastructure.

  • Fintech startups making a prototype or MVP
  • Businesses exploring digital financial services
  • Agencies and teams that need a customizable base
  • Founders who want to reach a working product sooner

Features

Everything a sender expects, already built.

Every feature below is built into the template and works in the demo.

Send to Kenya: you send 250 GBP, they receive 43,415 KES, with the locked rate and fees

Exchange rates and rate locking

Time-limited rate offers appear with a countdown. Users lock a rate for 10 minutes, and the lock is re-checked before money moves.

1 GBP = 173.66 KESoffer rate in the sample account

  • Live rates with the 24-hour change, and charts from 1 day to 1 year
  • Rate alerts, with optional auto-send when a target is reached
  • The locked rate and its countdown carry through to review

DemoOffers come from the simulated backend. In the demo, Account › Demo controls shows one on request.

Rate locked: 1 GBP = 173.66 KES with 9:58 left, ready to send at this rate

Android home screen widgets

Arro works from the home screen too.

Three resizable widgets bring the balance, the people you send to and the latest rate onto the user's home screen. Each one picks a layout that fits its size.

Widget theme

Quick Send

The available balance and the four people the user sent to most recently. Tapping a person starts a transfer to them once the app is unlocked.

Balance

The main balance at a glance, with a Send money button. A setting in Security hides the balance and recipients on all widgets.

Rate

The exchange rate for the user's usual destination. When a rate offer is running, the widget shows it with a Lock rate button.

Live rateRunning offerLocked rate

The current offer appears in the Rate widget rather than in a widget of its own.

Not included: a production backend

The template simulates its server. A live remittance service needs separate development and third-party services for:

  • Backend, database, authentication and user management
  • Payment processing for cards and bank payments
  • Identity verification, SMS and push notifications
  • Payout partners for mobile money, bank and cash pickup
  • A production exchange-rate service, and regulatory approval

Questions

Frequently asked questions

What is the Arro Remittance App UI Template?

A native Android app for sending money abroad, written in Kotlin with Jetpack Compose and Material 3. It has 96 screens and states, light and dark themes, three home screen widgets and a simulated backend, so every flow works as soon as you run it.

What is included in the purchase?

The full Android Studio source project, a demo APK, documentation in HTML and PDF, the third-party licence list and the changelog. The source includes the three widgets, the Outfit font, the original icons, illustrations and logo, 30 unit tests and an automated screenshot tour.

Does the template require a backend?

Not to run. A simulated backend inside the app handles quotes, transfers, refunds, identity checks and support replies, and saves everything on the phone.

To launch a real service you replace the simulated backend with your own servers. One class, ArroBackend, sits between the screens and that logic, and the documentation explains how to connect it.

Can I customize the application?

Yes. Colours, fonts and shapes are in one theme file, all screen text is in strings.xml, and the logo and launcher icon are vector drawables. The sample account, fees, limits and offers are set in gradle.properties and a few constants. The documentation has a step-by-step rebranding guide.

Does the template process real money transfers?

No. Arro is a front-end template. It doesn't move real money, take real payments or verify real identities. A live service needs your own backend, a payment provider, an identity-verification provider, payout partners and the licences your country requires.

Are Android home screen widgets included?

Yes, three: Quick Send, Balance and Rate. Each one is resizable, follows the light or dark theme, and opens the right screen in the app. The Rate widget also shows running rate offers and locked rates.

Can I use the template as the foundation for my own remittance app?

Yes, that's what it's for. You can rebrand it, extend it and publish apps built from it under the terms of your licence. The Standard licence covers one end product. The Extended licence covers unlimited end products for you or your clients. Neither allows reselling or sharing the source code itself.

Is an iOS application included?

No. Arro is Android only. An iOS version can be built as a separate custom development project.

Can you develop a custom backend and iOS application?

Yes. Backend, API, iOS and full-platform development are available as separate, individually scoped engagements. They aren't included in the template purchase. Use the contact options on this page to discuss your project.

How can I access the demo?

Download the demo APK on Google Drive and install it on a phone with Android 8.0 or newer. Your phone may ask you to allow installs from your browser or files app, because the demo isn't installed from Google Play. Then tap I already have an account › Fill in sample account.

Where can I purchase the template?

On Gumroad. You get the download straight after checkout.
